Who we are

Sketch The One operates the website sketchtheone.com, which sells a digital soulmate sketch with a written Soulmate Story and offers free tools such as a soulmate calculator and a soulmate quiz. You can reach us at support@sketchtheone.com.

Information you give us

When you place an order, the order form asks for:

• Your first name and email address.
• Your star sign and date of birth.
• Whether you prefer men or women.
• Optional preferences about the cultural background of a partner.
• Your answers to a few personality questions.

If you email us, we also receive your message and email address.

The soulmate calculator and the soulmate quiz run in your browser. We do not receive the birth dates or answers you enter there. Our analytics may record that a tool was used and, for the quiz, which of the four result types was shown.

Payment information

Payments are processed by PayPal. We do not receive or store your card number or bank details. PayPal tells us that a payment was made and shares the basic details of the transaction, such as your name, email address and the amount paid.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this site uses tools that collect information as you browse:

• Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager record which pages are viewed, the type of device and browser, the approximate location and the site a visitor came from.
• The Meta Pixel, from the company behind Facebook and Instagram, records visits and actions on the site so that advertising can be measured. It sets a cookie that lasts about 90 days.
• Google Fonts are loaded from Google servers, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
• Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses.

How we use your information

• To create your soulmate sketch and Soulmate Story and deliver them by email.
• To answer your questions and handle refund requests.
• To understand how the site is used and to measure advertising.
• To prevent fraud and misuse.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Some of what the order form asks is personal, such as your date of birth and whether you prefer men or women. We ask for it only because the sketch and the reading are based on your answers. Please do not order if you are not comfortable sharing it.

Who receives your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with companies that help us run the service:

• Our website hosting provider.
• PayPal, for payments and refunds.
• The email service used to deliver your order and reply to you.
• The tools we use to produce your sketch and reading.
• Google and Meta, through the analytics and advertising tools described above.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.

Cookies and your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. Google offers a browser add on to opt out of Google Analytics. If you have a Facebook or Instagram account, you can manage how Meta uses activity from other websites in your account settings.

How long we keep information

We keep order information for as long as it is needed to deliver your order, honor the money back guarantee, answer questions and meet legal and tax obligations. You can ask us to delete it sooner, as described below.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@sketchtheone.com from the address you ordered with. Depending on where you live, for example in California, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have further rights under local law, including the right to object to certain uses and to complain to your data protection authority. We will respond as the law requires.

Children

The service is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has placed an order, email us and we will delete the information.

Where information is processed

We are based in the United States, and your information is processed there and in other countries where our service providers operate.

Security

The site uses an encrypted connection. No website can promise perfect security, so please share only what the order form asks for.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
